As for me, looking for the essay topic ideas in history is not very difficult. You see, history gives you a chance to look for the essay topic ideas not only among some prominent events, dates or personalities. There are a lot of historical or even political science concepts that can be considered form the historical point of view. You just have to pick those essay topic ideas that you are knowledgeable in.
What is more, your search can be made much easier, if you narrow it down to a certain historical period. Think of period that you like most of all or understand better. For instance, I did not like ancient history, but I was concerned in the period of the Cold War. Usually I tried to pick a topic connected with this period.
